Hi dear,
let L and w be the lenght and width of the rectangle respectively.
If the width of the rectangle is 7 unit less then the lenght,
Then,
w=L-7 ----(1)
But area of any
rectangle is
given by A=L*w ----(2)
substitute equ 1 in 2
Thus,
A=L(L-7)
A=Lē-7L ------{This is the required expression}
