= 5.5 bags

We basically have this ratio set up

1_bag%2F5000_square_feet=x_bags%2F27500_square_feet



%281%2F5000%29%2A27500=x Now multiply both sides by 27500


27500%2F5000=x Multiply the fractions


11%2F2=x Reduce


So our answer is

x=11%2F2 or x=5.5 in decimal form


So it takes 5 and a half bags to cover 27,500 square feet
