Hi dear,
let the first numbers be x
the second number be y
From your first sentence,
x+y=64-----(1)
from your second sentence,
3x+8=7y-----(2)
from equ 1
x=64-y---(3)
put equ 3 in 2
3(64-y)+8=7y
192-3y+8=7y
7y+3y=192+8
10y=100
y=10
put y=10 in equ 3,
x=64-10
x=54
The numbers are 10 and 54.
