You can put this solution on YOUR website! 1/4a-12=5/4a+6 subtract 5/4a from both sides & add 12 to both sides.
1/4a-5/4a=6+12 (-5/4+1/4=-4/4)
-4/4a=18 (-4/4=-1)
-a=18
a=-18 answer.
proof
1/4*-18-12=5/4*-18+6
-18/4-12=-90/4+6
-4.5-12=-22.5+6
-16.5=-16.5
