You can put this solution on YOUR website!
In other words, what is the unknown point (x,0) which is the same distance from (3,-4) as it is from (8,5).

Use the distance formula to equate distances from (x,0) to (3,-4); and from (x,0) to (8,5).

sqrt%28%28x-3%29%5E2%2B%280-%28-4%29%29%5E2%29=sqrt%28%28x-8%29%5E2%2B%280-5%29%5E2%29

Watch signs and minuses carefully, and solve this equation for x.
