12 are girls, 36 are boys, and total is 48
For every girl added, the number changes by 12+x+36=48+x
The ratio of girls to boys is (12+x)/36
That has to be 2:3
Cross multiply and 2*36=(12+x)*3
72=36+3x
36=3x
x=12
With 12 more girls, the ratio will be 24:36 (2:3), and there will be 60 members total.
