You can put this solution on YOUR website!
A Ti-84 cannot round to hundreds. You have to do it by yourself.

Rule for rounding to the hundreds.

1. Put the invisible decimal at the end

2. Find the hundreds digit.

3. Look at the digit just right of it. If it is 5,6,7,8, or 9, then
add 1 to the hundreds digit. If it is a 0,1,2,3,or 4 then do not
add anything to the hundreds digit, but keep it as it is.

4. Replace every digit to the right of the hundreds digit by a 0 up to the
decimal at the end.

5. Erase the decimal (make it invisible again.

-------------

Let's demonstrate with 47689

1. Put the invisible decimal at the end.

47689.

2. Find the hundreds digit.

It is the 6

3. Look at the digit just right of it. If it is 5,6,7,8, or 9, then
add 1 to the hundreds digit. If it is a 0,1,2,3,or 4 then do not
add anything to the hundreds digit, but keep it as it is.

It is 8, so we add 1 to the 6, making it 7, like this

47789.

4. Replace every digit to the right of the hundreds digit by a 0 up to the
decimal at the end.

47700.

5. Erase the decimal (make it invisible again.

47700

---------------------------

Let's demonstrate with 2222

1. Put the invisible decimal at the end.

2222.

2. Find the hundreds digit.

It is the 2 that I will color red, so you'll know which 2 I'm
talking about.

2222.

3. Look at the digit just right of it. If it is 5,6,7,8, or 9, then
add 1 to the hundreds digit. If it is a 0,1,2,3,or 4 then do not
add anything to the hundreds digit, but keep it as it is.

It is 2, so we DO NOT ADD 1 to the red 2, but leave it 2, like this

2222.

4. Replace every digit to the right of the hundreds digit by a 0 up to the
decimal at the end.

2200.

5. Erase the decimal (make it invisible again.

2200

------------------

Let's demonstrate with 892

1. Put the invisible decimal at the end.

892.

2. Find the hundreds digit.

It is the 8

3. Look at the digit just right of it. If it is 5,6,7,8, or 9, then
add 1 to the hundreds digit. If it is a 0,1,2,3,or 4 then do not
add anything to the hundreds digit, but keep it as it is.

It is 9, so we add 1 to the 8, making it 9, like this

992.

4. Replace every digit to the right of the hundreds digit by a 0 up to the
decimal at the end.

900.

5. Erase the decimal (make it invisible again.

900

------------------

Let's demonstrate with 349

1. Put the invisible decimal at the end.

349.

2. Find the hundreds digit.

It is the 3.

3. Look at the digit just right of it. If it is 5,6,7,8, or 9, then
add 1 to the hundreds digit. If it is a 0,1,2,3,or 4 then do not
add anything to the hundreds digit, but keep it as it is.

It is 4, so we DO NOT ADD 1 to the 3, but leave it 3, like this

349.

4. Replace every digit to the right of the hundreds digit by a 0 up to the
decimal at the end.

300.

5. Erase the decimal (make it invisible again.

300

Now do yours the same way. No calculator needed.
