2/5p=3/5
1/5p=1.5/5=1/5p=3/10 Multiply both sides by 5 to isolate p, to get
highlight%28p=1.5%29

If p is part of/in the DENOMINATOR, then highlight_green%28matrix%281%2C3%2C+p%2C+%22=%22%2C+2%2F3%29%29
However, if p is part of/in the NUMERATOR, then highlight_green%28matrix%281%2C5%2C+p%2C+%22=%22%2C+1%261%2F2%2C+or%2C+1.5%29%29

.
All you need is to multiply both sides by the factor (the fraction) of 5%2F2, which is reciprocal to 2%2F5. Then you will get

%285%2F2%29%2A%282%2F5%29%2Ap = %285%2F2%29%2A%283%2F5%29,

or, after canceling common factors in numerators and denominators,

p = 3%2F2.

It is the same as  p = 1.5,  and either  p = 3%2F2  or  p = 1.5  is your answer.
