A statue that is 70 meters tall stands on top of a hill. From a point at the base of the hill, the angle of elevation to the base of the statue is 20.75 degrees, and the angle of elevation to the top of the statue is 28.30 degrees. What is the height of the hill?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
.

Tan (20.75)= h/d
0.38d =h................(1)
Tan (28.30) = (h+70)/d
0.538d= h+70.............(2)
subtract (1) from (2)
0.158d =70
d=70/0.158
d=443
h= 0.38*443
= 168.34 m
