You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Given:
In a survey, 69 persons answered yes, of which 12 were male.
62 persons answered no, of which 9 were male.
Find probability of a person randomly chosen answered yes or is male.
Solution:
There is a total of 69+62=131 respondents.
Out of which 69 answered yes, and 9 males answered no.
So there is a total of 69+9=78 possible "successes" in the pick out of 131 persons.
Therefore the probability of success, meaning either responded yes or is male, is
78/131=0.5954198...=0.595
