You can put this solution on YOUR website!
If I had 2,000 copies of a work to produce and I have done only 300 what is the
percentage of work done? Please, I'd like to know how to solve it too

Two ways:

First way:

That's 300 OUT OF 2000.
"OUT OF" means "OVER". So that's
300 OVER 2000 which is
300%2F2000
Then to change that fraction to a percentage,
first change it to a decimal, by dividing
the numerator BY the denominator, or
dividing the denominator INTO the numerator,

        .15
2000)300.00
     200 0
     100 00
     100 00
          0

Then change the decimal to a percent by moving
the decimal two places right and putting on a %
mark:

  15%

Second way:

PART%2F%28WHOLE%29%22%22=%22%22X%2F100

300%2F2000%22%22=%22%22X%2F100

Cross multiply:

2000X%22%22=%22%2230000

%282000X%29%2F2000%22%22=%22%2230000%2F2000

        15
2000)30000
     2000
     10000
     10000
         0

Answer: 15%
