Side of the square= 16 sq. units.

Perimeter= 4*16 = 64 units.

Since the area of the square is  256 cm%5E2,  its side is   a = sqrt%28256%29 = 16 cm.

Now,  the perimeter of the square is four times the length of its side,  i.e.  4*16 = 64 cm.
