You can put this solution on YOUR website!
let ticket=x
Let the number of 5 packs equal (1000-x)/5
.50x + 2(1000-x)/5= $470
Multiply both sides by 10 to clear fractions (.50=1/2)
5x+4(1000-x)=$4700
5x+4000-4x=$4700
x=700 tickets @$0.50=$350
60 packs of 5 tickets comprise the remaining 300, and they are $2 a piece, for $120
Total is $470, that checks.
