Question 979991: Please help me here. Illustrate and solve this problem. Thank you :)
A PAL plane takes off from Manila International Airport at an angle of 10°40'. How high will it be after it has flown a horizontal distance of 1800 meters.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!

You know the horizontal distance  L = 1800 meters.
It is the leg of a right-angled triangle.

And you also know the angle  alpha = 10°40'.
It is the angle of the right-angled triangle.

You need to find the other leg of the right-angled triangle  h,  which is the height  (the altitude).

Use the Trigonometry function  tangent:   h = L.tan%28alpha%29 = 1800*tan(10°40') . . .

Please complete yourself these calculations.

Good luck!
