Question 979764: Please help me to find an equation for the line with the given properties. Express the answer using the slope-intercept form of the equation of a line.
Slope = 0; containing the point (-8, -1)
my solution is X= -8 but I am not 100% sure Please advice.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! Slope 0 is a horizontal line. It is y= some constant.
Here, the ordered pair is (-8,-1). The y-value is all you need, it is -1
The equation of the line is y=-1.
you can write it y=0x-1, but that is not necessary.
If it were a vertical line, you would use the x-component of the ordered pair.
A vertical line going through (2,4) is x=2. That is the equation.
