if f(x)=x+7 and g(x)=8/x then
1.(f*g)(x)=8/x+7
2.(g*f)(x)=
3.(f*g)(2)=
4.(g*f)(2)

Those look like multiplication of functions, not function composition.

Using #2 as example,
g%28x%29f%28x%29=%288%2Fx%29%28x%2B7%29
8%28x%2B7%29%2Fx, and this is the best way to show this product function, because this should be undefined for x at 0.

I do not understand quite what you are showing for #1. multiplying g and f is the same as multiplying f by g.
