Question 978800: This is a hypothesis test question.
a fishing company claims the mean length of fish that it stocks is 8 inches. in a random sample of 50 fish, the sample mean was 7.5 inches with a standard deviation of 0.3 inches. Does this show statistically significant evidence that the mean length of fish is less than that reported by the fishery company?
