Cube both sides

+8%5Ey+=+8x+
Divide both sides by 8
+8%5E%28y-1%29+=+x+
Take log base 8 of both sides
+y+-+1+=+log%28+8%2Cx+%29+
+y+=+log%28+8%2C%28x%29+%29+%2B+1+
