 Indeed,  let  a  be the Albert's age now,  and let  b  be the Betti's age now.
 
 Then you have an equation
 
 a = 2b,                         (1)
 
 according to the condition.
 
 Five years ago Albert's age was  (a-5)  and Betti's age was  (b-5).
 So,  you have the second equation
 
 a - 5 = 2*(b-5),           (2)
 
 according to the condition.
 
 Now,  simplify the second equation:
 
 a - 5 = 2b - 10,
 a = 2b - 5.
 
 It contradicts to the equation  (1).
