You can put this solution on YOUR website!
hI there,
First you sort the equation out
into the form y = mx + c
y + 5 = -3/4(x - 8)
y + 5 = -3/4x + 6
y = -3/4x + 6 - 5
Equation is:
y = -3/4x + 1
......
Now by putting values of x into
the equation, you will generate values for y
I would use x = 4 and x = -4
x = 4:
y = -3/4(4) + 1
y = -3 + 1
y = -2
...
x = -4
y = -3/4(-4) + 1
y = 3 + 1
y = 4
Now you have two points to plot
on your graph.
(4, -2) (-4, 4)
Draw a line between them and
you have your graph.
Hope this helps:-)
