List out the numbers from 4 to 9:
4,5,6,7,8,9

There are 6 numbers in that list. Notice how 9-4+1 = 6

So you will be adding up the number 6 a total of 6 times. In short, you multiply 6*6 = 36 which is the final answer.

Notes:

1) k is a fixed number and never changes value (in your case, k = 6)

2) This formula allows you to start at i = 1 if you wish (just make m = 1). But you can easily start from any other number. Just make sure that n+%3E+m
