Question 977747: The weight of a bag of rice is known to follow a normal distributions with a mean of 10kg and a standard deviation of 0.35kg.
B) If 25 bags of rice are to be randomly selected to form a sample,
iii) find the weight W that would be exceeded by 90% of the sample means.

I already answered the other parts of the question, just this one left that I'm not sure about. Thanks for your help.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
So find the value when p=0.10 because then 90% of the means would be greater.
Find the z score when p=0.10,
z=%28x-mu%29%2F%28sigma%2Fsqrt%28N%29%29
-1.28155=%28x-10%29%2F%280.35%2Fsqrt%2825%29%29
-1.28155=%28x-10%29%2F0.07
x-10=-0.08971
x=9.91kg
