Question 977199: A triangular prism is 14.1 feet long and has a triangular face with a base of 7.2 feet and a height of 10.5 feet. The other two sides of the triangle are each 11.1 feet. What is the surface area of the triangular prism?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Divide the triangular prism into separate parts:
A base: 7.2 x 14.1 = 101.52 ft^2
2 Sides: = 2( 11.1 x 14.1) = 310.2 ft^2
2 ends:
An end is the triangular face.
Area of a triangle = 1/2(base x height)
...................= 1/2(7.2 x 10.5)
...................= 37.8 ft^2
Therefore two = 75.6 ft^2
Total = 101.52 + 310.2 + 75.6 = 487.32 ft^2 (2 decimal places)
Hope this helps:-)
