I have these two points given: (-3,-2),(0,7)
What is the equation for the parabola in standard form?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
You could assume vertical symmetry axis and try using standard form.

y=a%28x-h%29%5E2%2Bk
7=a%280-h%29%5E2%2Bk
7=ah%5E2%2Bk

The other point:
-2=a%28-3-h%29%5E2%2Bk

You still have only two equations but three unknown variables. One more point needs to be known or given.
