-6-2x<4x+4<8x (distributed the -2 over 3+x)
-2-2x<4x<8x-4 (subtracted 4 from each section)
-2-2x<4x 4x<8x-4 break into 2 inequalities
-2<6x here, x>-1/3
0<4x-4
x>1
Since X has to be greater than -1/3 and greater than 1, the result is x>1
