You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Make a factor tree. Break an integer into the product of two
smaller integers. Stop when you can't do that anymore. Then
put all the "dead ends" together:

Break 72 into 9×8
Break 9 into 3×3 and 8 into 2×4
Break 4 into 2×2.

                         72
                       / \
                      9 × 8
                     / \ / \
                    3 × 3 2 × 4
                              / \
                             2 × 2

72 = 3×3×2×2×2 = 32×23

You have to make a factor tree. Keep factoring until you get to a “dead end”.
72
/ \
9 8
/ \ / \
3 3 2 4
/ \
2 2
Now you multiply all the “dead ends” and you will get 72.
highlight%2872=3%2A3%2A2%2A2%2A2%29 check: 3*3*2*2*2 9*2*2*2 9*8=72 Correct.
