Question 974948: Based on the diagram above, a student determined the hypotenuse of the triangle to be 6 ratio 3. Determine if the student's answer is correct. If it is not correct, find the correct length.
In a 30°-60°-90° triangle, the length of the hypotenuse is 30. Find the length of the longer leg.
In a 45°-45°-90° triangle, the length of the hypotenuse is 11. Find the length of one of the legs.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! 30-60-90 has ratio of 1, sqrt (3), 2
If hypotenuse 30, short side is 15, and longer is 15 (sqrt(3) )
900=225+675 by Pythagorean theorem.
45-45-90 triangle
hypotenuse is 1; legs are sqrt(2)/2
11/sqrt(2)= (11/2) * sqrt (2)
Pythagorean Theorem
121=(121/4)*2 * 2 legs=121
