Question 97443: Know this isn't an equation problem but it's kind of similiar. I didn't find a subject to where my question fits in at. And the question is: An architect charges $1550 for a first draft of a three-bedroom house. If the work takes longer than 8 hours, the architect charges $95 for each additional hour. What would be the total cost for a first draft that took 15 hours to complete?
Thanks,

You can put this solution on YOUR website! The base charge is $1550.
The job took 15 hours ie (7 hours longer than 8 hours) so the extra charge is 7 x $95 =$665.
Total charge = $1550 + $665 = $2215
