each conic has a "typical" equation form, sometimes along the lines of the following:
parabola: Ax%5E2+%2B+Dx+%2B+Ey+=+0
circle: x%5E2+%2B+y%5E2+%2B+Dx+%2B+Ey+%2B+F+=+0
ellipse: Ax%5E2+%2B+Cy%5E2+%2B+Dx+%2B+Ey+%2B+F+=+0
hyperbola: Ax%5E2+-+Cy%5E2+%2B+Dx+%2B+Ey+%2B+F+=+0
you got
x%5E2-6x+=+y%2B3 or
x%5E2-6x-y-3+=+0.....if you compare it to equations above, you see that you have a parabola
