total=number * average= 55*29 = 1595
I assume I am adding 2 to each item, the average would increase to 57. The average changes by the increase/decrease if all the items involved are affected in exactly same way. One can look at the total's increasing with the number's staying the same.
I am adding 58 (29*2) , so new total is 1653, which divided by 29 is 57.
Writing "02" might be interpreted to be 0.02 or .02. I would normally write "2". If 0.02 were meant, it would increase the average by 0.02.
