You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(-4,-1) This is in the third quadrant, so theta is more than 180 degrees. The hypotenuse is the distance to the point or sqrt(17). sin is negative and is (1/17). The arc sin of that is 3.37 degrees, so theta is 183.37

Let (-4,-1) be a point on the terminal side of an angle theta in standard position. Find the measure of angle theta.
---------
tan = y/x = 1/4
atan(1/4) =~ 14 degs
---
The point is in Q3 --> 14 + 180
= 194 degs
