y=2x+1
Set the two equations equal to each other
2x+1=x^2+5x-9 Now collect terms and move all to one side
0=x^2 +3x -10 Factor
(x+5)(x-2)=10
x=-5, 2
y=-9 when x=-5
y=5 when x=2
