You can put this solution on YOUR website!
let the cost of each cookie be x $.
Let the cost of each donut be y $.
3x+2y=5.25..........equation 1
5x+3y=8.25..........equation 2
Multiplying equation 1 by 3 we get,
9x+6y=15.75.........equation 3
Multiplying equation 2 by 2 we get,
10x+6y=16.5.........equation 4
Subtracting equation 3 from equation 4 we get,
10x+6y-9x-6y=16.5-15.75
x=0.75
Substituting in equation 1 we get
2.25+2y=5.25
2y=3
y=1.5
The cost of a cookie is $0.75.
The cost of a donut is $1.50.
