You can put this solution on YOUR website!
f(x)=x^2 -12x+35 / x^2 + 3x-18
Find all values of x that are NOT in the domain of f
.
If there is more than one value, separate them with commas.
Show the factored form of "f"::
f(x) = [(x-7)(x-5)]/[(x-6)(x+3)]
-----
Answer:: x = 6 or x = -3

The domain is where the denominator becomes 0. Even if the denominator has something that can be divided out, ANYTHING that makes the denominator 0 is NOT in the domain.
Factor x^2 + 3x -18
It has x + and x - because the last term is negative.
The factors are 6 and 3, and 6 goes with the plus, because the middle term is positive.
(x+6) (x-3) are factors, and when they equal 0, the values of x are NOT in the domain.
Domain is EVERYTHING BUT x = -6 and x = + 3
All reals but x= -6,3
