You can put this solution on YOUR website! USING THE SLOPE EQUATION WE GET
(0-3)/(2-4)=-3/-2=3/2
(-12-3)/(-18-4)=-15/-22
(-12-0)/(-18-2)=-12/-20=3/5
THESE THREE SET OF POINTS ARE NOT ON THE SAME SLOPE THEREFORE NOT ON THE SAME LINE.
You can put this solution on YOUR website! let the three points be A(4,3) , B(2,0) , C(-18,-12)
The three points will lie on the same line if the slope of the line AB is same as that of BC
Using the formula to find the slope of the line between two points (x1,y1) and (x2,y2) =
Slope of AB = = 3/2
Slope pf BC = = 12/20 =3/5
Since the slopes are not equal , they do not lie on the same line.
