You can put this solution on YOUR website! Coordinate for horizontal axis is x. Coordinate for vertical axis is y.
Two dimensional ordered pair coordinates are indicated in a form, (x,y).

The equation is shown as y in terms of x. Beginners can make a table of x & y values to identify (x,y) points and then plot them on graph paper.

 Pick x________|_________Find y
 ____-2________|_______8(-2)-2=-18
 ____-1________|_______8(-1)-2=-10
 ______0_______|________8*0-2=-2
 _____3________|_______8*3-2=22
 _____4________|_______8*4-2=30

The corresponding points to be plotted for making a graph are:
 (-2,-18), (-1,-10), (0,-2), (3, 22), (4,30).

A graph should be consistant with this, and contains whatever points you found:'
