You can put this solution on YOUR website!
z=8 when x=2 and y=4, z varies jointly with x and y,
what does the function look like?
----------------
z = k*x*y
---
Solve for "k":
8 = k*2*4
---
k = 1
-----
Equation:
y = x*y

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
z = k*x*y where k is the constant of proportionality
8 = k*2*4
k = 1
therefore the equation looks like
z = x * y
