Question 969988: how can I calculate the volume of a cone from a circle sector with an angle measure of 90 degrees and radius of the circle sector is 8cm. I do not know how to derive at the values for h and r of the cone. I understand that the slant height of the cone would be 8cm(taken from the radius of the circle sector)

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Try making a physical model of that. You will see what parts from the sector become which parts of the cone. Use the formula for volume of a cone.
