You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Solve the inequality
-5 < 2×+3 < 1
add(-3) to each term
-8 < 2x < -2
divide each term by (2)
-4 < x < -1
solution: (-4, -1)

-4 < x <-1 ANSWER
WORK:
-5<2x+3 <1 I am assuming "_5" above is "-5", otherwise it can't be solved.
Subtract 3 from all parts.
-8<2x<-2
Divide by 2
-4< x < -1

Try x=-2 -5 < (2(-2)+3 <1
-5<-1<1 That works
Try x=0
-5<3<1 That doesn't work, and it should not.
