Question 969164: Draw a right triangle with legs of length 3 cm and 8 cm. Use your triangle to estimate the answers to the following questions.
A) what is measure of angle A if tan A = 3/8.
B) what is measure of angle B if tan B = 8/3.
I'm not sure what to do. If the question was just to to find it, I would've been able to do it, and I did. Measure of angle A is about 20.6 and measure of angle B is about 69.4. I'm not sure how to "estimate" it exactly. Like, without a calculator. Thank you for your help in advance and bless your kindness for helping!!!! Answer by josgarithmetic(39620) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Imagining the image of a line in cartesian plane with either of those tangents as SLOPES will help. This will allow you to GUESS using imagery in your head.
You know slope of 1 would be 45 degrees.

Let me reword that a little bit:
Imagining the image of a line on a coordinate plane with either of those tangents as SLOPES will help. (Tangent basically means "slope").
