You can put this solution on YOUR website!
You have to realize that you cannot have
log( minus # ), like say, +log%28%28+-1+%29%29+.
There is no log to a positive base ( like 10 here )
which can possibly give you a negative result.

That means +x+=+-4+ is OK, but +x+%3C+-4+
is not possible, so
+x+%3E=+-4+ and +x+=+-4+ is an asymptote

+f%28x%29+ can have any + or - value, since logs
can have any value + or -

Domain is +x+%3E=+-4+
range is + to - infinity
