You must learn that any logarithm equation of the form:

A = logBC   

is by definition always equivalent to the exponential equation:

C = BA

Therefore the equation

log2x = 3

which is the same as

3 = log2x 

is equivalent to

x = 23, which is

x = 2򈭾, or 

x = 8
