You can
put this solution on YOUR website!
factor out a cos(x) to get:
cos^3(x) + cos(x) * sin^2(x) = cos(x) * (cos^2(x) + sin^2(x))
since cos^2(x) + sin^2(x) = 1, this becomes cos(x) * 1 which becomes cos(x).
the expression can be simplified to cos(x).
