Question 96674: Could you please help me with this question?
A stained glass window is being designed in the shape of a rectangle surmounted by a semicircle. The width of the window is to be 3 ft. but the height is yet to be determined. If 24 ft^2 of glass is to be used, find the height.
I know that you have to figure out the sides or something like that, but to be honest I really have no idea where to start at this problem. THanks!! Answer by scott8148(6628) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! let h=(height of the window) ... the radius of the semicircle is 3/2 ... the length of the rectangle is h-(3/2)
