You can put this solution on YOUR website!
log6(7x-2)=1+log6(x+5)
:
subtract log6(x+5) from both sides
log6(7x-2) - log6(x+5) = 1
:
subtraction means divide in logs
log%286%2C%28%287x-2%29%2F%28x%2B5%29%29%29+=+1
:
the exponent equiv
%287x-2%29%2F%28x%2B5%29+=+6%5E1
or just
%287x-2%29%2F%28x%2B5%29+=+6
:
multiply both sides by (x+5)
7x - 2 = 6(x + 5)
7x - 2 = 6x + 30
7x - 6x = 30 + 2
x = 32
