There are two solutions near x=0 and near x=2.
You can verify that x=2 is a solution since,
4%5E2=8%282%29
16=16
I used Newton's method to solve for both one with a starting value of x=0.5 and one with a starting value of x=2.5.
The other value is approximately x=0.15
