Let the dimensions be (x-1),x and (x+1) respectively.
(x-1)*x*(x+1)=1716
Finding the factors of 1716 we get,
1716=572*3=143*12=11*12*13
Substituting the same we get,
(x-1)*x*(x+1)=11*12*13
Comparing we get,
x=12
The dimensions of the prism are 11cm,12cm and 13cm.
Surface area of the prism=2(wl+lh+wh)=2(132+156+143)=862 square centimetres
