The chart shows the probability of a certain disease for men by age. Use the information given to solve the problem. Express all probabilties as decimals, estimated to two decimal places.

35-44 0.14
45-54 0.39
55-64 0.42
65-74 0.67
75+ 0.79
What is the probability that a randomly selected man between the ages of 45 and 54 does not have this disease?

The chart is a cumulative probability chart.
To get the probability of disease for the 45-54 age range, subtract out previous values.
0.39-0.14=0.25
Since this is the probability of disease, the complement which you want would be,
P=1-0.25
P=0.75
