You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1/2(16x-2)=1/3(81-27x)+6 solve in respect to variable x
First multiply 1/2 through(16x-2)
You get (8x-1)as a result because half of 16=8 and half of -2=-1.
Next, multiply 1/3 through(81-27x) as a result becuase 1/3rd of 81=27 or 81/3 and 1/3rd of 27 is 9 or 27/3.
At this point you have a problem that looks like this...(8x-1)=(27-9x)+6.
You can now remove the parentheses, and you have 8x-1=27-9x+6, add 27+6 and you get 33.
You have 8x-1=33-9x now. Add the -9x(makes it positive now) to the left to get 17x and add -1(makes it positive now) to the right to get 34.
You have 17x=34 now and you may solve for x.
divide 17 into 34 (34/17) to isolate the x variable and render a solution.
x=2 is the solution
To prove the solution is valid you must plug the solution into every instance of x.
Use (8x-1)=(27-9x)+6 to make it less complicated
After plugging in 2 you now have (16-1=27-18+6)
Which reduces to 15=15, thus proving a valid solution of 2.
Hope this helps.
