Question 960007: The altitude of a right circular cone is 15 and the radius of its base is 8. A cylindrical hole of diameter 4 is drilled through the cone, with its axis along the axis of the cone, leaving a solid as shown in the figure. (There's a cylinder in a cone, but the top of the cylinder, is the top of the cone, so the cone doesn't come to a point). What is the volume of this solid? I'm not sure what to do since the top of the cone doesn't come to a point. Thank you

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The description is faulty, but the situation is a slightly different example similar to http://www.algebra.com/algebra/homework/Volume/Volume.faq.question.959400.html.
If you can understand that (slightly messy) solution, then you should understand how to solve the problem you posted.
